A little change in the history of bonsai tree happened several centuries after the Kamakura period finished. It was still believed as a symbol of Japanese culture. It was generally found in gardens while some of the aristocrats often brought their small potted trees in for short periods of time. Sometimes during the 17th or 18th century the Bonsai tree has been specially taken care that found as a lavish thing that only the very wealthy or religious temples could afford. But then it found its way into the gardens of the lower class.
In the middle of 19th century, a large change happened in the history of Bonsai. It was the time when Westerners were allowed to enter Japan. For the first time on that century, travelers can appreciate the unique beauty of the Bonsai tree. It was shocking that then these miniature trees were even shown in the 1900 World Fair that was held in Paris.
Today, bonsai trees in a bonsai garden are able to be simply found in almost every house in the whole world, not only in China or Japan. So, the history of bonsai is going to be an charming thing to be told to your next generation.
