The key to becoming a significantly better golfer is maintaining a high level of focus and remaining determined. By remaining determined, optimistic, and focused, you will be able to lower your Golf score quickly.

Being confident in your golfing abilities is also important to lowering your Golf score. If you are not confident you might accidently miss strike a ball resulting in a bad play. Being decisive and focused is the key to becoming the best golfer you can be.

Golfers that are not confident and are not decisive will usually have an extremely high Golf score. This is because they are jittery before they take each shot. This usually results in them making a bad play. You should try and visualize each shot before you take it to ensure making a good play.

Many amateur golfers make the mistake of not practicing important approach shots on a daily basis. The best golfers constantly practice vital approach shots because it gives them the opportunity to lower their overall score. By practicing these approach shots you will be able to get birdie after birdie during your Golf game. This daily practice will give you the confidence that you need to attack the green accurately and efficiently. Eventually this practice will allow you to play with longer clubs so that you can hit the ball farther and with increased accuracy.

The pitch shot is a shot that is extremely similar to the high pitch-and-run shot. On the other hand, the low pitch-and-run shot results in significantly less carry with significantly more run. This can be a great thing in certain Golf scenarios. One of the best Golf scenarios for this type of shot is when you have a strong wind. Having your club in a hooded position is the key to successfully taking this type of a shot. You should also be leaning back slightly on your back foot when taking this type of a shot. These considerations should also be remembered during a run-up with a club that is straight instead of hooded. The specific club that you use for this specific type of club is completely up to you, but the five-iron works well!

Playing a ball from the rough is one of the most daunting tasks that you can face during a Golf short game. When playing from the rough, there are several key things that you are going to want to take into consideration. Putting any type of spin, specifically back spin is more difficult in the rough than it is in the fairway. You should remember that the ball will roll more when striking a ball from the rough. For this reason, you strike the ball with less power because it is going to roll more.

Being a successful golfer has a lot to do with your stance. One of the most important parts of a good stance is having a lot of weight on your left foot. Many golfers make the mistake of leaning back on their right foot when they are in a difficult spot or situation. Gripping the club too tightly is also a mistake that many amateur golfers make. Gripping the club too tightly can result in a bad shot. You should always use a moderate grip even when you are in a difficult situation.

Mastering the bunker stroke is also an important part of developing your Golf game.

If your Golf ball gets a decent lie in a bunker then the stroke you need to make is quite easy. The ideal situation is to have the ball sitting on top of fine and dry sand. If your ball is in this situation then you will have an extremely easy stroke to make!

Heavy-sand irons are the best types of Golf clubs to use in this type of a situation. It is also extremely important to lay the face of your iron back slightly. This results in the club being in the opposite position that it would be in when hooding the club. Your stance is extremely important as well and it should be open. Your feet should be fairly close together, approximately shoulder width apart. Having your feet planted firmly in the ground is also extremely important. Many amateur golfers make the mistake of slipping during their new Golf swing. By planting your feet firmly in the ground you will make sure you don’t slip during your swing. When striking a ball that is in a bunker you should not strike the ball itself, but you should strike the sand that is several inches before the ball.

Playing a ball in the fairway is much less difficult than playing a ball in the bunker is. You should always strike the actual ball when striking the ball in the fairway. Yet, when striking the ball in a bunker you should strike the sand that is several inches before the ball. You should NEVER strike the ball itself when it is in the sand trap. This will result in the ball going deeper down into the sand instead of into the bunker. During your stroke your club should slowly move back outside the line and then swing down normally. This will allow you to successfully play the ball out of the sand trap.

If you do everything properly the iron will drop into the sand and the ball will fly out onto the green. By doing this properly you will create a cushion of sand on the edge of the club. This cushion of sand will allow you to gently play the ball up and onto the green or fairway.

You should never manipulate the club head when trying to play a ball out of a sand trap. Many new golfers make the big mistake of trying to manipulate the head of the club. You should always try to remain the angle as well as the shape of the club. Another mistake that a lot of people make is allowing their wrist to roll over throughout a shot. Maintaining the length of your Golf backswing as well as your follow-through is also important when hitting a ball out of the bunker. You should always attempt to maintain your focus when taking this type of a shot.

If you are able to master the bunker shot you will be able to significantly decrease your score and become a better golfer at the same time!
